Monthly Support Group & Membership
Membership is free!
The Douglas County Parkinson's Support Group meets every third Tuesday of the month in the South Room of the Douglas County Community & Senior Center in Gardnerville at 1pm. This meeting is open to all members and is in addition to our monthly breakfast, caregivers lunch, excursions to destinations like the National Automobile Museum, our three day a week Fit4Life exercise program, and other events & activities.
Meetings offer information to improve the quality of life for those of us with PD and those who are caregivers. Guest speakers have included: Pharmacists, Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other members of the community who can provide support and guidance. Information on Neurologists, Movement Disorder Specialists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, DBS, Medications, Fit4Life Exercise and more are discussed at every meeting. Please Join Us!


Annual Sierra Nevada Drive for Parkinson's
The Douglas County Parkinson's Support Group holds its Annual Sierra Nevada Drive for Parkinson's each Summer to raise awareness of what we offer to raise the funds necessary to continue our mission of support.
